Which editing accomplishment is the one about which you feel most proud?
I am proud that the volume of submissions to my journal has increased so much that we are now publishing monthly (double the number of issues from the time that I took over as editor)

What is the best thing about being an editor? 
Contributing to the specialty and the discipline

What is the worst thing about being an editor?
Having to remind late reviewers

Tell an amusing story about editing.  I learned from my predecessor, Mary Swanson Crockett, that a journal editor must have an indoor pool.  I informed my husband of this necessity, and I have been enjoying water aerobics in my indoor pool since 1998.

What is the strangest request a potential author has ever made of you? I have had several authors who sent a thesis in toto…

What would you like to do if you were not an editor? I would spend more time writing

How do you relax? Gardening, water aerobics
