Accomplishment: I am proud to be working in the Latin American Journal of Nursing participating since its start to the definition of editorial policy. I am proud to make this magazine commonly recognized by the scientific and indexed in international and national databases such as: Social Sciences Citation Index / Journal Citation Reports, MEDLINE - International Nursing Index, SCOPUS, CINHAL - Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature.

Best: Possibility to contribute to the national and international visibility of research produced by Brazilian and Latin-American Nursing and to have the produced knowledge support changes in health practices and permit the advancement of interdisciplinary knowledge.

Worst: Coping with delays in the publication process due to reviewers who do not send back their evaluations and spending much time on getting funding for the journal.

3 words: Responsible, persistent, dreamer

If not editor?: In Brazil, Nursing journal editors are also faculty members at undergraduate and graduate level and researchers. I work in all these activities at the same time. I love being an editor, teacher and researchers but, if I had the choice, I would choose editing and researching only, as these two cannot be separated.

Relax?: Oil painting
