Other position: Professor, MSN Nurse Executive Program, Nebraska Methodist College, Omaha, NE.
Accomplishment: Growth of Urologic Nursing in terms of quality of manuscripts, columns and volume pages.
Best: Opportunities to work with many authors nationally and internationally; INANE meetings
Worst: What to do with a poorly written manuscript that covers a topic you want to publish and you know that hours and hours of editing are required.
Amusing: I was editing a manuscript in the car on my laptop while my husband drove from the Jackson Lake Lodge in Grand Teton National Park to Breckenridge, CO. The laptop kept overheating and shutting down, as I wasn’t allowing the fan to ventilate well enough. I eventually figured out how to juggle the computer on my lap, to keep the fan working on the winding curves. He just kept laughing at me! I finished the work, but won’t try that ever again. Thankfully, winding roads don’t make me carsick!
3 words: Energetic, problem-solver, visionary
Strangest request: "Fix the article however you need to — I’m done with it; will this be in the next issue?"
