Share an amusing story about editing.
I had a detached retina several years ago with a scleral buckle repair. Maybe a week after the surgery, I as in a meeting in Singapore and had some problems post op, so I went to an eye clinic in a foreign hospital to get a check-up under the bandages. I had a ton of manuscripts that were overdue because of my eye problems, so I was in the waiting room of the eye clinic trying to finish up overdue editing and the staff was screaming at me to stop working ( in a mixture of Chinese, English, Indian and Malaysian languages) or I would go blind!

Which three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Determined, hard working. loyal

What is the strangest request a potential author has ever made of you?
To serve on the review panel for a "rival" journal
