Gastroenterology Nursing
Editor, Gastroenterology Nursing. Since 1999
Years as Editor: Since 1999
Years in INANE: Since 1999
Other Position: Associate Professor, Texas Christian University, 2007; Director, Doctor of Nursing Practice Program
Accomplishments: I am proud of editing a nursing journal selected for the ISI list.
Best: I think one of the best things about being an editor is the opportunity to help shape the history of nursing. Decisions to publish or not to publish content is a tremendous responsibility, but also very rewarding. I also love working with new authors and helping them to feel the success of making a lasting contribution in print.
Worst: I think the worst thing about being an editor is the deadlines!
3 Words: Open minded, Inspirational, Positive
If not editor?: I have the privilege of teaching graduate students in my "other job" and love this work.
Relax?: I love to read, garden, sing, cook, and travel.
